Hainan Jianxin Optical Cable: China Mobile International, China Unicom International and Huahai Communications to Build SEA-H2X International Submarine Cable

SEA-H2X is jointly operated by members of the International Submarine Cable Alliance and constructed by Huahai Communication Technology Co., Ltd. (HMN Tech). SEA-H2X will connect Hainan, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, and further extend to Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia. After completion, it will greatly improve network connectivity in the Asian region.

The total length of the SEA-H2X international submarine cable will reach 5,000 kilometers, using high-standard optical fiber cabling with a design capacity of up to 160Tbps, and at least 8 pairs of optical fibers will be deployed between Singapore and Hong Kong, China. The SEA-H2X submarine cable is planned to be put into use in 2024, which will effectively meet the growing demand for network bandwidth and high-speed connections in Asia, help jointly build a new network ecosystem for 5G evolution, and provide greater boost to the vigorous development of the global digital economy force. The SEA-H2X submarine cable system is provided by Huahai Communication with an end-to-end solution for the submarine cable system, including the design, production, construction and construction of the submarine cable system and underwater equipment. The system applies advanced Open Cable technology, which enables it to flexibly select the optimal Submarine Line Terminal Equipment (SLTE) to maximize transmission capacity.
